PLCD is mainly a social, cultural and educational organization. Fellowship and the need to stay in touch are very important to the area's Deaf and Hearing LBGT community. PLCD frequently hosts parties, both for fundraising and future events.
PLCD also holds bar nights, contests, coffee socials, picnic, and holiday parties.
Our most popular event to date is our bi-annual Mr. Philadelphia Deaf Leather and Bear Festival. The weekend in November starts with the bar night through the contest and ends with the winners' celebration party.
