Membership Categories & Dues

BRAD has established five membership categories to best fit the needs of its members in this state and abroad. Please carefully review each category to see which best suits you. You can easily request a copy of our membership application by sending an e-mail to our Treasurer. BRAD Membership is renewed on a yearly basis and you will be notified when your membership will soon expire. .
As a new member of BRAD, you will receive a "new" membership packet which will include a Welcome Letter by the President, a membership benefits list, a copy of BRAD Pride News, your personal copy of the BRAD Bylaws, your own membership card, and any updated information about social events and workshops.

Five Membership Categories

Individual (Active) Membership:
Shall be a Deaf or hard of hearing, or Deaf/hard of hearing and visually disabled gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender individual
Shall live in the State of Ohio
Shall be eligible to hold any office, allowed to vote at "General Meetings" and elections of this organization, and receive "free" regular issue of BRAD Pride News.
Shall pay the annual dues of $20.00 by cash, personal check, cashier's check, or money order.

Individual (Associate) Membership:
Shall be a Deaf, hard of hearing, Deaf/hard of hearing and visually disabled, or hearing individual regardless of his/her sexual orientation
Shall live in the State of Ohio
Shall be allowed to vote at "General Meetings" and elections of this organization and receive "free" regular issue of BRAD Pride News, but not be permitted to hold any office of this organization.
Shall pay the annual dues of $20.00 by cash, personal check, cashier's check, or money order.

Individual (Visiting) Membership:
Shall be a Deaf, hard of hearing, Deaf/hard of hearing and visually disabled, or hearing individual regardless of his/her sexual orientation.
Shall live outside of the State of Ohio
Shall not be eligible to hold any office or be permitted to vote at any meeting or election of this organization, but may receive "free" regular issue of BRAD Pride News.
Shall pay the annual dues of $10.00 by cash, personal check, cashier's check, or money order.

Affiliate (Supporting Organization) Membership:
Shall be an organization in the State of Ohio interested in the success of Deaf and hard of hearing gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals.
Shall not be eligible to hold any office or be permitted to vote at any meeting or election of this organization, but may receive "free" regular issue of BRAD Pride News.
Shall pay the annual dues of $100.00 by cash, personal check, cashier's check, or money order.

Individual (Honorary) Membership:
Any individual in the State of Ohio interested in the success of Deaf and hard of hearing gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender communities may be made a lifetime honorary member upon a majority vote in the Board of Directors' meeting.
Honorary members shall not be required to pay any fees or be eligible to hold an office or permitted to vote at any meeting of this organization, but only receive the "free" regular issue of BRAD Pride News.
